Inaugural National AAROM Meeting

Okanagan Nation Alliance
The inaugural annual National AAROM Meeting was hosted by the Okanagan Nation Alliance, February 4th to 6th, 2019 in Kelowna British Columbia.

The co-development and hosting of the Fourth National AAROM Meeting

The meeting and its agenda were co-developed by the host organization and the AAROM Network Steering Committee, and was informed by recommendations and action areas from previous national and virtual meetings. These topics include:

  • AAROM Hub Website
  • Indigenous Knowledge Systems/Traditional Knowledge
  • Capacity assessment framework & support (Capacity Development Team) & Indigenous Training & Skills Development (ITSD)
  • AAROM Innovation and Collaboration Fund (ICF)
  • Developing human resource capacity (tools and resources)
  • Youth-Elder knowledge transfer
  • Networking and mentoring
  • Communication strategy
